St Bride, London, c1920-c1940. Interior view of the church of St Bride, Fleet Street, London, looking from the altar towards the organ. The nave is lined with arches on either side, with balconies above. St Bride was rebuilt in 1671-78 to designs by Sir Christopher Wren following the Great Fire of London, 1666. It was destroyed again in the Blitz in 1940, and subsequently rebuilt. The interior seen here was lost in 1940.
