A 1952 Sunbeam-Talbot 90. From 1950 to 1954, Sunbeam-Talbot production concentrated solely on the Sports '90'. Introduced in 1948, Saloon or Convertible versions were available. These moderately small family cars with unusually long bonnets proved themselves competitively, gaining class wins in The Alpine Rally, between 1948 and 1952. Fourth gear gave good acceleration and flexibility, fast hill climbing, and cruising speeds of anywhere between 50mph and 70mph. It could even be driven in top gear 'at 10mph without mechanical protest or pinking'.
