1988 McLaren Honda MP4/4. This car was driven to first and second places by World Champions Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost. From 1983-1988 1.5 litre turbocharged (an exhaust driven compressor) cars dominated Formula 1. Renault introduced the first engine in 1978. The most successful combinations were the Marlboro McLaren TAG, the Williams Honda and finally the Marlboro McLaren Honda which won the World Drivers' and Constructors' Championship in 1988. In that year they achieved 15 wins in 16 Grand Prix.
