Al Unser, winner of the Indy 500, 1978. With the trophy and winner's laurel wreath behind him in a crowd of supporters. Unser was the three time USAC-CART (United States Auto Club-Championship Auto Racing Teams) national champion in the years 1970, 1983,and 1985; and four time winner of the Indy 500 in the years 1970, 19971, 1978,and 1987. He retired in 1994 ranked 3rd on the all-time CART list with 39 wins.
