Tazio Nuvolari, Donington Grand Prix, 1938. Nuvolari, in goggles, was one of the legendary figures of the 'golden age' of motor racing in the 1930s. The 'Flying Mantuan' as he was known, moved to car racing in 1924 after a successful career racing motorcycles. His skill and daring took him to 200 major race victories, one of which was the 1938 Donington Grand Prix, where he drove for Auto Union.
