The interior of Spencer's Balloon factory, Highbury, London, c1900. The men are making the baskets that hang underneath the hot air balloons. A finished basket is being winched out of a doorway. Stanley Spencer, head of the Spencer Brothers company, was the the first Englishman to invent an air-ship.
