Eugene de Beauharnais, (c1820s). Eugène Rose de Beauharnais, Prince of Eichstädt and Duke of Leuchtenberg (1781-1824) was the son of Alexandre de Beauharnais and Joséphine Tascher de la Pagerie, first wife of Napoleon Bonaparte. He commanded the Army of Italy and served from 1805 as viceroy of the new Kingdom of Italy under his stepfather Napoleon.
