The "Fresco of Conon" from Dura Europos, a temple dedicated in AD 70 to the Palmyrene gods. It depicts a sacrifice being made, on behalf of a family, by two priests. Conon, the chief priest has a Greek name but wears the tall conical white hat of a Persian magus Date/Period: 1st century AD. Place of Origin: Syria.
